The capturing and processing of machine and process data, associated with expressions such as „digitalization“ and „artificial intelligence,“ make it possible to monitor processes in real time, to capitalize on the performance potential of diecasting cells and to optimize the use of energy, raw materials and operating resources. Because these criteria are of central importance to diecasting foundries‘ ability to stay competitive, nearly all trade show visitors were very interested in the „Smart Foundry Solutions“ product portfolio and its modular software packages.
They allow user-specific digitalization measures to be implemented and the efficiency and flexibility of diecasting systems to be further increased as a result. A practical trial of these software solutions is offered on modern diecasting machines in the Frech technology center at the corporate headquarters
Other innovations shown at the trade show booth also substantiated the leading position Frech holds in diecasting technology: For example, assistance systems with the „Sensitive“ designation help machine operators to make the right settings and to avoid faulty adjustments. The basic equipment of a diecasting machine can also be expanded by screen information that provides information on the machine‘s status and process parameters, together with easily comprehensible recommendations.
The new electronic spare and consumable parts catalog for diecasting machines from the W and K series also makes working in a diecasting foundry easier. Using 2D and 3D screen depictions and an intuitive menu system on the PC, a needed part can be quickly and uniquely identified and ordered electronically.
